Melvin Odoom sits in: Dr Beat's locum is ready to prescribe a healing tune!

Feelgood tunes to groove and soothe your soul. Dr Beat's locum, Dr Odoom, is on hand to prescribe the perfect tune for a listener in need. The song surgery is open!

Feelgood favourites, hidden gems and fresh new tunes to groove and soothe you. Melvin Odoom, in for DJ Spoony, serves up a brilliant selection of classic soul, disco, soulful house, R&B, funk, UK garage, reggae, hip-hop, doo-wop, yacht rock and more. Our genial host also unveils the 'New 2 Spoon' record of the week.

Spoony’s alter-ego Dr Beat is away from the song surgery so his ever faithful locum, Dr Odoom, is on hand to prescribe a musical pick-me-up for a lucky listener. Whether your Monday has gone spectacularly off the rails, you’re recovering from an eventful weekend, or you simply need a track to mark a special occasion, get in touch for a 'telephone consultation' in exchange for the perfect tune to match your situation! Text 88291, WhatsApp 08000 288 291 or e-mail melvin@bbc.co.uk.

The Midnight Feast track wraps up each show. Think big production, lush orchestration, and the best voices in the business!
