Provocateurs
Naomi explores the minds of five thinkers whose provocative work dramatically transformed the fields of psychology, art, politics, economics, and criminal investigation.
Naomi Alderman returns with her series that explores the minds of the greatest thinkers in history. From political theorists to scientists to inventors, authors and artists. Our world is based on their ideas and innovations. How did they do their work, what did they struggle with, where did they find their dedication, creativity and inspiration?
Naomi explores the lives and ideas of five extraordinary thinkers who reshaped the modern world: Elinor Ostrom, Sigmund Freud, Salvador Dalí, Eugène-François Vidocq, and Cicero. Across psychology, art, politics, economics, and criminal investigation, each challenged accepted ideas and pushed their fields into new territory. Provocative, curious, and often controversial, they questioned assumptions that others took for granted. Naomi examines how their willingness to think differently became the driving force behind innovations that continue to influence society, culture, and intellectual life today.
