Paris based composer and DJ Low Jack on the 6 Mix ahead of his new club-focused album, Miracles, joining forces with Bamao Yendé’s Boukan Records, seeing two distinctive forces within contemporary Parisian culture come together. On Miracles, Low Jack enlists a remarkable cast of artists from across the underground, reading like a who’s who of the French electronic scene, Brodinski, Bambounou, Helen Island, Lala &ce, Fae Sapienta, and label head Bamao Yendé, alongside Keyan grindcore legend Lord Spikeheart, creating a record that moves between club culture, soundsystem traditions, experimental music and speculative fiction, amounting to one of his most ambitious works to date. Born in Honduras and based in Paris, Low Jack has spent over a decade pushing the boundaries of electronic music through a practice spanning composition, performance, film and live staging while blending dancehall, Latin rhythms, industrial textures and electroacoustic experimentation. His past works have spanned prolific labels such as PAN, Modern Love and STROOM, and his own Éditions Gravats. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 6 Music.
