Analysis: Bournemouth 2-2 Aston Villa

By Timothy Abraham, BBC Sport

Villa's style of play under Unai Emery's management has undoubtedly improved - but so too has their resilience.

This is not a team with a soft underbelly.

Against a Bournemouth side who were 2-1 up, and looking to kill the game, Villa managed to weather the storm and stay in the contest.

Much of that stemmed from the never-say-die attitude of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez which rubbed off on his Villa team-mates.

The result was a point that was hard earned, regardless of whether it was entirely deserved.

Now Emery's men head to Manchester City with their fans knowing the players will roll their sleeves again if the going gets tough.
