Hearts 1-4 Celtic: Analysis

  • Published

Celtic got off to a flying start thanks to a wonderful strike from Matt O'Riley and controlled large parts of the match without ever really extending themselves.

The champions' slick interchanges were too much for toothless Hearts and four goals from seven efforts on target speaks to their ruthlessness, even if Reo Hatate did miss a penalty.

Kyogo was fairly quiet and yet won that spot-kick and scored for the eighth successive game against Hearts.

With ever-dependable captain Callum McGregor combining cleverly with O'Riley and Hatate, no other team in the division comes close to that kind of midfield power.
