St Mirren 0-3 Rangers: What the manager said

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson reckons the game against Rangers was all about the hand ball that led to James Tavernier breaking the deadlock from the spot and opposite number Ryan Strain being shown a red card after 30 minutes.
"There's no denying it is a penalty and a sending off," Robinson told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound after his side's 3-0 defeat.
"The game turns on its head after that. I thought we started really brightly, we were the better side, passed the ball really well. There was nothing in the match, so I won't be critical of my players.
"With 10 men, it was a hard task. We tried to stay in the game for 65 minutes. That was our plan at half time and we made some really positive changes to do that. Maybe I should have waited another 10-15 minutes, but that's not our style.
"We had a go at it. Ultimately, when we went to the back four, we didn't fill the spaces. The second goal was poor collectively, so we didn't deserve to win the game.
"Our decision making wasn't good enough and we got punished by very good players."
