Maddison picks Dons free-kick as his favourite goal

England and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has chosen his 2016 free-kick winner for Aberdeen against Rangers as the favourite goal he has ever scored.

"The goal that I scored for Aberdeen when I was on loan against Rangers," he said, when asked during a Q&A on Tottenham's social media.

"It was the first time the sides had met in however many years since Rangers dropped down the leagues. There was a big rivalry, and I scored a last minute free-kick winner.

"That one is a little bit above the rest because of the whole dynamic, I was only young and that was me putting myself out there."
