'Another frontman has to be the priority in January'

Sandy Armour, Killie Hippo fanzine

Killie's atrocious away record continued with a disappointing one-goal defeat to a Hibs team who have been on a poor run of form.

The safe looking starting line-up rang some familiar alarm bells and my pre-match fear that we wouldn't score sadly proved accurate.

I've no doubt that there is a mentality issue when we play away from the Theatre of Pies and that is a challenge for the manager to adopt a more positive attitude both in terms of personnel and formation.

Another striking issue from Saturday is our striking issue.

When Kyle Vassell is injured we are instantly down to the bare bones in the forward areas. The manager didn't appear to have the confidence to start Innes Cameron who then picked up an injury in the warm-up. Another front man has to be the priority for the recruitment guru as any lengthy spell on the sidelines for Vassell could seriously affect our season.

Hopefully the international break will allow the likes of Vassell and Corrie Ndaba to recover from their injuries and prepare for another tough road trip to Dingwall.
