Over the past week or so, West Ham supporters have finally got what they wanted. No, I am not talking about the results (apart from the win over Arsenal - that was exactly what we wanted!).

I am talking about Mohammed Kudus starting games. It took some time for David Moyes to play him from the off in the Premier League, limiting him to just starts in the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

But what we have seen over the past couple of games proves just why we were so desperate to see more of the Ghana international and why he should stay in Moyes' XI for the foreseeable.

First, his presence offers us something different in attack. He can hold the ball up, he can beat players with skill and pace, and he can score goals. The latter has impressed us most over the past few days.

Secondly, he takes some of the goalscoring burden away from Jarrod Bowen, who has pretty much had to do it all on his own in attack so far this season.

Kudus' goal against Arsenal was sensational. His touch to bring it down and wrong foot the defender in one motion was world class, and the finish was as calm as they come in those situations.

Then, he followed that up with a scissor-kick against Brentford to take his goal tally in claret and blue to five goals in 13 appearances. He has started seven of those, four of which have been in the past two weeks.

It appears Kudus has finally arrived in east London and, as his confidence grows and he gets more used to the English game, he's only going to get better.

If we could just fix the striker position in January, West Ham's front three will be lethal in the second half of the season.
