Full-back Tim Swiel has a chance to impress for Edinburgh - he will make his debut against Ulster after Blair Kinghorn sustained an injury in training.

A minor hip injury means Kinghorn will miss his final fixture for the club before joining Toulouse.

22-year-old academy graduate Harry Paterson is handed his first start of the season in place of Duhan van der Merwe, who suffered a concussion in training.

Ben Vellacott, Ewan Ashman, Jamie Hodgson, Marshall Sykes and Viliame Mata also come into Sean Everitt's side.

Edinburgh: Swiel, Paterson, Currie, Lang, Goosen, Healy, Vellacott (c); Schoeman, Ashman, Nel, Sykes, Hodgson, Crosbie, Ritchie, Mata.

Replacements: McBurney, Hislop, Sebastian, Young, Watson, Price, Scott, Bennett.
