Warwickshire v Sussex: Edgbaston thwarted by wet weather

Day three of Warwickshire's home fixture with Sussex has been lost to a wet outfield, following on from Friday's wash-out at Edgbaston.

Umpires Ian Gould and Steve Gale found surface water still standing at the Pavilion End after more overnight rain.

And a midday inspection was enough for a ninth day out of the last 15 at Edgbaston to be lost.

No play had been possible since Thursday when the hosts had reached 175-3 on a day interrupted by showers.
