Leon Britton: Swansea midfielder faces further injury lay-off

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton will be out until November after a scan showed he needs more time to recover from a knee injury.

Britton, 32, has not featured for the Swans since suffering a stress fracture during their pre-season trip to the United States in July.

The former Sheffield United player had a further scan on Monday and he faces a further three weeks on the sidelines.

Britton signed a one-year contract extension with Swansea in June 2014.
