Braintree Town extended their winless run to eight games as they were held to a goalless draw against Woking.
Woking midfielder Kevin Betsy was denied the opener by Braintree keeper Nick Hamann from 12 yards.
Simeon Akinola then came close to breaking the deadlock for the home side but his long-range shot was well saved by Cards keeper Ross Worner.
The striker then attempted to head in Dan Walker's corner from inside the box but the effort flew over the bar.
Mitch Brundle narrowly missed out on securing the win for Braintree when his attempt from outside the box went wide.
Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:
Garry Hill: Woking boss after draw with Braintree
"I think it's a fair result over the 90 minutes and I felt we had the better of the opportunities in the first half and I felt Giuseppe Sole and Scott Rendell, on another day, would've taken their chances.
"On the chances created we had the better, but there wasn't much between the two sides in respect to creative opportunities.
"At the end of the day you can look at it one way that any team going to Braintree playing the way they do, and you keep a clean sheet, it was a fair result.
"I can't remember the last time Woking were third in the table with a game in hand."
