Numerous Everton and West Ham players clashed during their Premier League game at Goodison Park
Everton and West Ham have been charged by the Football Association over their players not "conducting themselves in an orderly fashion".
Players from both sides started pushing each other during their Premier League game on 22 November, which the Toffees won 2-1.
Everton's James McCarthy and West Ham's Winston Reid were both booked for their parts in the first-half altercation.
The clubs have until 18:00 GMT on 1 December to respond to the charge.
The incident, which took place in the 40th minute, began when McCarthy's strong challenge on Morgan Amalfitano prompted an angry reaction from several Hammers players.
Everton moved up to ninth in the Premier League with the win, while West Ham's defeat was their first in six matches.
