Gabriele Angella: Watford defender has red card overturned

Watford have been successful in their appeal to overturn the red card shown to defender Gabriele Angella against AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.

The 25-year-old was sent off for a professional foul after only 26 seconds of his side's 2-0 defeat, despite having a team-mate covering behind.

The Italian is now eligible for Saturday's home fixture in the Championship against Blackburn Rovers.

Watford are currently sixth, four points behind second-placed Derby.
