Linfield hope to secure second place in Premiership

Linfield hope to clinch second place in the Irish Premiership when they take on newly crowned champions Crusaders in Tuesday night's rearranged game.

The match is being played at the Oval because of structural damage to the West Stand at Windsor Park.

"We want to finish as high as we can," said Linfield manager Warren Feeney.

"European football is important for the club, but also for the development of the players. We will come back stronger for next season."

The Blues boss added: "It has been difficult for the players training at different venues and not being able to play at home."

Linfield are two points ahead of third-placed Glenavon in the league standings, with both sides playing their final fixtures of the campaign on Saturday.

The match will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Ulster medium wave and the BBC Sport website from 19:30 BST on Tuesday 21 April.
