Darren Pratley: Bolton Wanderers midfielder appointed captain

Bolton Wanderers have appointed midfielder Darren Pratley as their new club captain.

The 30-year-old, who has been at Bolton since 2011, signed a new three-year deal at the start of the month.

The former Swansea, Brentford and Fulham centre-midfielder missed the final five months of last season through injury.

"He's a consistent performer and he's coming into his peak years," boss Neil Lennon told the club website., external
