Lewis Vaughan's strike was enough to earn Raith Rovers victory over Cowdenbeath in the first round of the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Both sides wasted early openings, with Cowdenbeath midfielder Chris Kane heading over and Raith's Ryan McCord firing high and wide.
Raith grabbed the only goal midway through the first half when Vaughan slammed home Mark Stewart's cross.
Jason Thomson, Craig Wighton and Rory McKeown spurned further Raith chances.
