Altrincham 2-1 Tranmere Rovers

In-form George Bowerman inspired Altrincham to a second straight home victory, with a 2-1 win over Tranmere.

Bowerman pounced on James Lawrie's rebounded shot after just seven minutes for his fourth goal in three games.

Martin Riley, Jonathon Margetts and Adam Mekki were all denied equalisers before Michael Rankine's first Robins goal made it 2-0 on 30 minutes.

Lois Maynard's late consolation failed to prevent Tranmere recording back-to-back defeats.
