James Keatings and Jason Cummings both scored for Hibs
James Keatings marked his first start for Hibernian with a goal as Raith Rovers were beaten at Easter Road.
The former Hearts forward netted the opener when he found the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Keatings also played a role in Hibs' second, flicking on Lewis Stevenson's cross for Jason Cummings to prod home five minutes after half-time.
Rovers almost halved the deficit on two occasions, but goalkeeper Mark Oxley denied James Craigen and Craig Wighton.
