Aswad Thomas: Dover sign ex-Grimsby and Woking defender

National League side Dover Athletic have signed former Grimsby Town defender Aswad Thomas.

The 26-year-old was a free agent after ending last season at Woking.

Former Charlton trainee Thomas made 14 appearances for Grimsby last season, but was given leave because of stress and joined the Cards in February.

The England C international, who has spent time on loan at Accrington, Barnet and Lewes, has also had a spell at Braintree Town.

Dover have not disclosed the length of his deal at Crabble.
