Andy Cook scored twice to give Barrow a narrow victory at Macclesfield in the National League.
After a quiet first half, Cook put the visitors ahead against the run of play as he collected Andy Haworth's pass and fired home from close range.
Macclesfield drew level three minutes later, Paul Lewis heading in Danny Whittaker's cross from the left.
But Cook secured the three points from the penalty spot, after Ashley Grimes was fouled by keeper Shwan Jalal.
