Ipswich Town: Teddy Bishop out for 'longer than necessary'

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy says midfielder Teddy Bishop has been out of the team for "longer than necessary" because of injury.

The 19-year-old made 36 appearances for Town last season as they reached the Championship play-offs.

But he has yet to appear this season following a hamstring problem.

"We want him fully fit when he returns because there are plenty of games left and he's an important player for us," McCarthy told BBC Radio Suffolk.
