FC Halifax Town 0-3 Woking

  • Published

Dan Holman scored twice as Woking consigned struggling Halifax Town to their 10th defeat of the season.

Kadell Daniel's cross early in the first half found striker Holman, who volleyed in from close range.

Debutant Kieran Sadlier went close for the home side, but Woking extended their lead after the break through John Goddard's free-kick.

Holman then finished powerfully from 25 yards to register his fifth goal of the season and seal the three points.

Woking boss Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:

Garry Hill: Woking boss on victory over Halifax

"It was a good performance because we have been disappointing recently and there have been a few harsh words and a few truths that came out.

"We've had our situation regarding injuries and various other things and you have to stand up and be counted. I have to lead those players to get back on track.

"It certainly makes a difference with Mark Ricketts having a couple of games now and other players coming back in. We got the ideal start and we thoroughly deserved the win."
