Southport 1-2 Chester

  • Published

Late goals from right-back Michael Kay and substitute Craig Mahon saw Chester come from behind to win at Southport.

Louis Almond gave the hosts a first-half lead after he lost his marker and slotted in from the edge of the area.

Kay equalised 11 minutes from time after John Rooney's corner was cleared straight to him and he fired home from 18 yards.

Mahon completed the comeback with a stinging effort which goalkeeper Andy Coughlin could not keep out.
