Defender James Jennings scored his first goal in more than a year to give Wrexham the victory over visitors Woking

Wrexham made it three wins and three defeats in the National League so far with victory over Woking.

Defender James Jennings stabbed home the winner following a corner on 43 minutes to score his first goal for the Welsh club.

Wrexham created the better chances, with Alex Reid coming closest early on when he burst through, but Nathan Baxter made the save for the visitors.

Woking's lack of ambition up front, particularly early on, cost them.

Wrexham manager Dean Keates told BBC Radio Wales: "We were at home and ideally we'd like to have converted a few more of our chances to make life easier, but it was a clean-sheet and three points.

"The clean-sheet was the most pleasing aspect for me as we had talked about it before hand. We are still trying to pick a forward up and hopefully we'll pick that up next week."
