Maidstone United 0-2 Bromley

  • Published

Maidstone lost ground on the National League leaders with defeat at home to Kent neighbours Bromley.

Magnus Okuonghae's own goal put Bromley ahead in the 38th minute after the hosts failed to deal with Louis Dennis's fine cross.

Lee Worgan prevented the visitors going two up when he kept out George Porter's shot after 53 minutes.

At the other end, David Gregory produced a fine point-blank stop of his own before Joe Pigott smashed an effort against the crossbar from 30 yards.

A Bromley break with 10 minutes remaining saw Dennis find space but his effort was deflected wide for corner.

The winger then got the goal his performance deserved in injury time when he poked the ball home following a scramble in the box.
