Jake Hyde scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Maidenhead earned a draw at second-placed Dover.
Dover midfielder Mitch Brundle threatened twice early on - his second effort whistling just wide - while Mitch Pinnock had a close-range shot cleared off the line on the stroke of half-time.
Jake Goodman came agonisingly close to giving the visitors the lead with a shot on the turn on the hour during their best spell of the game.
Ryan Bird appeared to have given the hosts all three points when he headed home Kadell Daniel's cross 15 minutes from time, only for Hyde to stab in a loose ball in the 93rd minute to nick a point for Maidenhead.
