Sutton United missed out on the chance to put pressure on the National League leaders as they were held to a goalless draw by Ebbsfleet.
Tommy Wright fired wide after an early spell of pressure from the hosts before Ross Lafayette was also off target after meeting Kieron Cadogan's header.
Lafayette saw his shot blocked after being played in by Wright, while at the other end Jack Powell blazed over the bar and Danny Kedwell fired wide following a swift counter attack.
The finishing at Gander Green Lane did not improve after the break.
Louis John fired over the bar from a cross by Cadogan, who then had an effort tipped round the post on 73 minutes by the alert Nathan Ashmore.
