AFC Fylde 2-0 Torquay United
Danny Rowe ascended to the top of the National League scoring charts with a brace that helped AFC Fylde beat Torquay at Mill Farm.
The Coasters struggled to impose their home advantage early on, but hit the front in the latter stages of the first half when a Henry Jones corner was not properly cleared and Rowe found a deft turn and inch-perfect finish.
Torquay manager Gary Owers changed his back three to a four to help improve his side's progress. It nearly paid off when Luke Young's free-kick clipped off debutant Andy Mangan and onto the post.
The relief was shot-lived, however, as Rowe smashed in a second to put the match beyond the Gulls.

Bromley 1-1 Chester
Struggling Chester showed plenty of stomach for battle as they held Bromley to a draw at Hayes Lane.
The sides exchanged quick-fire goals in the first 15 minutes. First Ross Hannah netted for the Blues, latching on to a good ball from Lucas Dawson and squeezing a shot through a small gap.
But within seconds Luke Wanadio replied for the hosts - his effort was parried by Alex Lynch into the path of Louis Dennis to equalise.
In the second half, Hannah showed his defensive skills with a goal-line clearance from Dan Johnson's header. The striker was soon up the other end hitting the Bromley post as the Cheshire club agonisingly flirted with a rare victory.

Dagenham and Redbridge 3-2 Guiseley
Dagenham & Redbridge staged a dramatic fightback from two goals behind to beat Guiseley at Victoria Road.
The hosts were left shocked midway through the first period as full-back Lee Molyneux's cross deflected over Mark Cousins, and shortly after Mike Fondop-Talom stabbed in a second from close range.
Sam Ling inspired the Daggers comeback with a surging run down the wing and cut-back for Morgan Ferrier to halve the arrears. By half-time, captain Scott Doe had drawn the sides level.
Jake Lawlor cleared Ling's second-half effort off the line to preserve parity, but the home side's Luke Howell snatched the winner in the final 10 minutes after Corey Whiteley's shot was saved.

Eastleigh 0-2 Barrow
Goals either side of the interval helped Barrow end a dismal run of form with a rousing win at Eastleigh.
The Bluebirds, with just one win in 12 before the match, made their move on the half hour. Not long after Byron Harrison had a spectacular effort saved by Graham Stack, the same man finished off a pass by Adi Yussuf to open the scoring.
Things came spectacularly to life in the second half. Yussuf hit the woodwork after rounding Stack, and nearly rued the miss even more when James Constable hit the Barrow upright from a header.
Further chances were exchanged at either end before Jimmy Dunne calmly placed into the top corner to clinch Barrow's triumph.

Gateshead 1-0 Tranmere Rovers
Gateshead racked up a fourth win in five games in dramatic style, as an injury-time own goal by Ritchie Sutton saw the Tynesiders sink Tranmere at the International Stadium.
There had been no obvious sign of either side grabbing a winner, and the unlucky Sutton was trying his best to block a Richard Peniket cross as he diverted the ball past his own goalkeeper.
It had been an even encounter prior to the late twist. For the Heed, Jordan Preston's deflected 20-yard strike forced Scott Davies to scramble.
At the other end, Tranmere responded well to their 5-0 midweek cup loss and Dan Hanford had to make a fine save to keep out Larnell Cole.

Hartlepool United 0-2 Aldershot Town
Aldershot remain nicely in the promotion mix-up following a solid win at Hartlepool.
There was little to choose between the sides in a first half which looked to be ebbing to a goalless conclusion until the Shots went in front on the stroke of half-time.
James Rowe crossed from the right and Bernard Mensah glanced a header wide of goalkeeper Scott Loach's dive.
The second period unfolded almost identically as Gary Waddock's men repeated their trick of scoring late on after a gritty deadlock.
They countered superbly in response to some sustained home pressure and Rowe fed Jim Kellerman to slam a shot into the roof of the net.

Leyton Orient 1-1 Dover Athletic
Leyton Orient started life after Steve Davis by holding National League leaders Dover to a draw.
Davis was dismissed earlier this week after last weekend's defeat to Ebbsfleet left them just three points above the relegation zone.
Nortei Nortey heaped more misery when he fired the visitors in front in the 23rd minute.
But Craig Clay salvaged a point for Orient, who had Ross Embleton and Dean Brill in caretaker charge, with 13 minutes remaining after combining well with James Dayton.

Macclesfield Town 0-0 Boreham Wood
Macclesfield Town remain one point behind National League leaders Dover following a goalless draw at home to Boreham Wood.
Town striker Danny Whitaker was denied twice by visiting goalkeeper Grant Smith.

Mitch Hancox almost won it for the hosts late on, but his cross came back off the crossbar.

Maidstone United 1-1 Solihull Moors
Kwame Thomas netted on his debut to ensure Mark Yates started life as Solihull Moors boss with a draw against high-flying Maidstone.
Yates, who was appointed successor to Richard Money earlier this week, saw his side start in terrible fashion as Joe Pigott's ninth goal of the season arrived after just 42 seconds.
Pigott took advantage of a poor Fiacre Kelleher back pass and chipped the ball over Nick Townsend.
But on-loan Coventry striker Thomas salvaged a draw in the 64th minute as he made no mistake from close range after Lee Worgan parried Akwasi Asante's shot into his path, moving Solihull off the bottom of the table.

Sutton United 3-2 FC Halifax Town
High-flying Sutton held off a spirited challenge by FC Halifax to make it back-to-back National League wins.
It appeared as if an entertaining first half would end goalless until Ross Lafayette added the finishing touch to Kieron Cadogan's storming run three minutes into stoppage time.
The U's were 2-0 up after Craig Dundas tucked home a rebound in the 58th minute, only for Tom Denton to nod in to reduce the deficit six minutes later.
Lafayette completed his brace with a header after 73 minutes but Sutton were clinging on in the closing stages after Scott Garner pounced from close range five minutes from time, just after Matty Brown had seen his penalty crash off the crossbar.

Woking 1-1 Maidenhead United
Woking missed out on the chance to make up ground on the top seven as they shared a draw with Maidenhead.
The Cards went into the National League clash full of confidence following their 3-0 win at Bury in the FA Cup in midweek but they were behind after just 10 minutes.
Joe Ward had already spurned a good opportunity for Woking when Adrian Clifton smashed a 20-yard strike into the bottom corner to give Maidenhead a surprise lead.
The hosts levelled after 39 minutes through Charlie Carter's tap-in from Chez Isaac's corner but they could not find a winner with United goalkeeper Carl Pentney in inspired form.
