James Norwood bagged a brace as Tranmere ripped apart Maidstone at Prenton Park.
Recent form was dramatically reversed for both sides as the Merseysiders struck early. Norwood scored first after seven minutes as he turned Eddie Clarke's pinpoint cross past Lee Worgan.
Norwood also collaborated with Connor Jennings to set up Andy Cook for a deft turn and finish 10 minutes later.
Rovers rested on their lead in the second half without any apparent urgency to extend it, but did so when Oliver Norburn rifled into the top corner.
There was still time for Norwood to slot in his second as the Stones rolled over.
