Lionel Messi's stunning second-half performance in Barcelona's win in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool sent him to the top of BBC Sport's Player Rater.
The Barcelona captain scored twice in eight minutes, his first a rebound after Luis Suarez had hit the crossbar and his second a quite brilliant free-kick into the top corner from 25 yards.
Despite creating chances, Liverpool failed to score an away goal and this is reflected in their ratings, with Andy Robertson their highest performer on 6.13.
