Highlights: Kilmarnock 4-0 Dundee Utd
Kilmarnock's 10-match winless run was ended by a "perfect" 4-0 Scottish Premiership thumping of Dundee United, says manager Alex Dyer.
Nicke Kabamba scored twice, heading in a Calum Waters delivery, then pouncing on a Mark Connolly error.
In between, Eamonn Brophy scored his first of the season after good work from Greg Kiltie, and Rory McKenzie scored a sumptuous late chipped fourth.
"It was coming. The boys deserve it and the whole club deserve it," Dyer said.
It was the first time United have failed to win away from home this term and it means Micky Mellon's side fall to sixth in the table after a lacklustre performance.
Kilmarnock were similarly uninspired at times in the early stages, with it taking until the 18th minute for Chris Burke to hit the first shot on target.
Neither side looked to have a cutting edge, but a wonderful Waters ball found Kabamba between two defenders, and he headed powerfully past Benjamin Siegrist.
Kilmarnock would have taken a 1-0 lead at the break, especially given Mark Connolly somehow headed wide from close range, but a second goal would come before the interval.
After Gary Dicker kept an attack alive, Greg Kiltie somehow rose above Lewis Neilson and nodded into the path of Brophy, who controlled with his right foot and finished with his left.
United started the second half with intent, Calum Butcher testing Danny Rogers, but Kilmarnock held firm and added gloss to their win with two goals in the final 10 minutes.
First, the outstanding Kabamba robbed the careless Connelly, took his time and directed high past Siegrist.
The striker was involved again for the fourth - the pick of the bunch.
He brought Kilmarnock forward on the counter, before the ball was laid off for substitute McKenzie to delicately loft an effort over Siegrist and into the far corner. A truly outstanding finish.
Man of the match - Nicke Kabamba

What did we learn?
This was the first time Kilmarnock have started with two strikers this term, and maybe they should do it more often. Both Kabamba and Brophy scored and looked dangerous.
Between them they have got finishing ability, attacking intelligence, pace and power in abundance. They are likely to cause most Premiership centre-backs problems.
United had no cutting edge. That they are worse off without Lawrence Shankland is no surprise, but there is every chance he would have scored during the visitors' second-half period of pressure.
With only three goals in the five league matches in the injured Shankland's absence, United need to find a solution.
What they said
Dyer hails 'perfect' Kilmarnock performance
Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer: "It's a crucial win, a morale booster. They believe in what we're trying to achieve but just haven't got the rub of the green, and we got that today."
Dundee United manager Micky Mellon: "At times, I was a wee bit baffled that we were behind, but understood that we didn't take care of the details from a throw-in and from one corner.
"You have to be switched on at all times at this level. When you get into the dangerous areas that we got into countless amounts of times, you have to punish teams, and that's what we lacked today."

What next?
Tough ties await both sides after the international break. Kilmarnock face Aberdeen at Pittodrie, while Dundee United travel to Ibrox to face Rangers.
