Have Tottenham turned a corner?
- Published
Former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend believes Spurs have "turned the corner" in their season.
Roberto de Zerbi's side landed a first win of the campaign against Coventry last week and backed it up with a fine win at Chelsea.
"They are getting there," said ex-Premier League striker Chris Sutton. "To go to Chelsea - the record over the years - that was massive.
"I am not getting overly carried away. It's where they finish at the end of the season. They were never going to go down. It was a slow start. The aim, with the money they have spent, should be certainly to finish in the top six."
But Townsend told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club: "I think they have turned the corner. Spurs have shown positive signs all season, even when they have been losing games.
"I think even in the early games you could see what he was trying to build. You could see it was coming sooner or later."
