Norway's man of the moment Karsten Warholm, heads up a star-studded Diamond League lineup in Lausanne, Switzerland. Fresh off the back of his 400m hurdles world-record at the Olympics, the 25-year-old is one to watch in the 400m flat discipline as he will target the 25-year-old European record of 44.33.

Compatriot Jakob Ingebrigsten is also expected to light up the track as the 20-year-old looks to add the 3,000m European record to his European 1500m and 5,000m records.

Ingebrigsten will take massive confidence from his Olympic record 1500m victory in Tokyo, but faces tough competion in silver medallist and reigning world champion Timothy Cheruiyot of Kenya. Keep an eye on this fascinating encounter which boasts all medallists from the 1500m, 5,000m, 10,000m and 3,000m steeplechase in Tokyo.

After completing a second successive 100m and 200m Olympic double in Tokyo, Elaine Thompson-Herah will have USA's Florence Griffith Joyner's 1988 world record in her sights after running the second-fastest 100m of all time on Saturday. Thompson-Herah goes head-to-head with fellow Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce - the two-time Olympic winner who took 100m silver in Japan - and Shericka Jackson - who won bronze in Tokyo - in what looks set to be another pulsating 100m event.
