Richard Owen has scored three Super League tries for Wakefield this season
Wakefield have confirmed winger Richard Owen has voluntarily entered a rehabilitation programme at the Sporting Chance Clinic.
Owen, 25, has played 16 Super League games for the Wildcats this season.
The club said in a statement that Owen would be unavailable for selection for "the foreseeable future".
They added: "The club applauds Richard's initiative in this decision and will continue to fully support Richard throughout this process."
