In the bath, ready!
Wash, wash, wash. Wow.
What's that?
Wash your feet?
One, two, three, four, five!
Wash your belly, wash, wash, wash.
Splish splash, splish splash, in the bath.
What's that?
Wash, wash, wash.
Bathtime is a great opportunity to bond and chat with your baby.
The warm water and time spent together can help your baby feel calm and comfortable.
As you bathe your baby, try chatting about what you're doing, singing a favourite nursery rhyme or describing the bubbles, water and toys around them. Even if they can't talk back yet, your baby is listening closely and learning from the sound of your voice.
The more you talk, the more familiar and comforting your voice becomes. Hearing you speak can help soothe and relax your baby, while also supporting their early communication and language development.
Bath ime doesn't need to be rushed. It can be a chance to enjoy smiles, eye contact and little moments of fun together, helping to strengthen the bond between you and your baby.
