Mick and Mairead Philpott remanded over fire deaths

The parents of six children killed in a Derby house fire have appeared in Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court charged with their murders.

Crowds gathered outside as Mick and Mairead Philpott were escorted in by several security guards.

Both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday.
