    Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse's family has criticised a film about her life, saying it's "misleading".

Speaking to Newsbeat, Amy's dad Mitch said the producers left out key details.

He said the film is unbalanced, and isn't happy with the way he's portrayed.

The documentary, Amy, is due to be shown at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Amy died aged 27 from alcohol poisoning in July 2011.

The filmmakers, including director Asif Kapadia who was also behind Senna, said: "When we were approached to make the film, we came on board with the full backing of the Winehouse family and we approached the project with total objectivity, as with Senna.

"During the production process, we conducted in the region of 100 interviews with people that knew Amy Winehouse; friends, family, former-partners and members of the music industry that worked with her.

"The story that the film tells is a reflection of our findings from these interviews."

We have a feeling this one is going to rumble on for some time.

"My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics.

"Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes.

"It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe. And in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction."
