It's been a tale of four seasons in Cambridgeshire today, with no signs of the earlier snow currently visible out on the road.

Here's the story of today, told by our BBC Weather Watchers.

    It started off pretty normal...

    Cambridge

    And then the snow came...

    Stanground

    And came...

    Newmarket

    And came some more...

    Fowlmere

And just as quick as it started, it went...

    St Neots

By the end of the day, it was like it never happened...

An award winning dog, rescued in Transylvania, was trained over WhatsApp, before coming to the UK.

Tess Eagle-Swan, from near Newmarket, brought Kratu, a Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog over to Cambridgeshire - rescuing him from poor conditions in a Romanian gypsy camp.

Whilst Kratu was waiting for his "doggy passport", Tess trained him via the instant messaging service, linking up with a friend living in the county.

After also bringing over Kratu's brother Raffy to the UK, Tess has since entered them into shows.

Kratu has won best in show and is on his way to Crufts. Raffy is a supermodel dog, on the cover of "Dogs Today".

  7. Fines for bad parkerspublished at 17:44 GMT 13 January 2017

    Adam Jinkerson
    BBC Local Live

Fifteen fixed penalty notices have been given out to people who parked illegally in Wisbech today, in just a two hour period.

The patrol was a joint effort between Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue to highlight the issue of inconsiderate parking in the town.

The two-hour patrol focused on 12 streets in the town centre where parking has previously been an issue.

It could mean fire crews struggle to gain access to incidents.

PCSO Lisa Mann, who was on the patrol, said inconsiderate and illegal parking is "becoming an increasing issue in Wisbech".

“Parking in an inappropriate way could cause a delay in emergency services reaching an incident and therefore put lives at risk," she said.

The patrol found that the streets with the biggest problems were North Brink - that runs down the side of the river - and North Street in the town centre.

  8. New Northampton Town manager: Chairman says he's had 'positive feedback' about Edinburghpublished at 17:43 GMT 13 January 2017

    Pete Cooper
    BBC Local Live

Northampton Town chairman Kelvin Thomas said that new manager Justin Edinburgh's teams have always impressed him "with the energy that they play at, even back to his Rushden days".

Speaking about Edinburgh's sacking from Gillingham earlier this month, Mr Thomas said: "He has learnt a tremendous amount from that experience."

Mr Thomas said he had "spoken to a lot of people" in football about Edinburgh and "had very positive feedback".

He added: "We have talked a lot today about the squad and he is excited about starting to work with them on Monday."

  9. New Northampton Town manager Justin Edinburgh 'respected in the game'published at 17:43 GMT 13 January 2017

    Tim Oglethorpe
    BBC Radio Northampton Cobblers commentator

I think the appointment of Justin Edinburgh as Northampton Town manager is a good one.

He's a relatively young manager, at 47, and until the "blip" at Gillingham he had a pretty good track record, building himself up from the non-league and achieving great success at Newport County.

He knows Northamptonshire, he's respected in the game, and has a lot of contacts in football, I think he fits the bill.

Edinburgh maybe wasn't the biggest name linked with the job, but he is still hungry for success.

The irony is, he was in charge at Gillingham when they beat the Cobblers in November, with a last minute winner, which was most probably the start of Rob Page's exit from the club.

The 47-year-old says that there is "potential to take the club forward", describing the job as a "fantastic opportunity".

The former Diamonds boss will be at tomorrow's game against Scunthorpe and says: "The players who are here will have their opportunities to impress, both on Saturday and moving forward."

  12. New Northampton Town manager: Justin Edinburgh and Rushden and Diamondspublished at 17:13 GMT 13 January 2017

The new Cobblers boss Justin Edinburgh is no stranger to Northamptonshire. He first joined Rushden & Diamonds in 2008, becoming assistant to Garry Hill.

After Hill resigned, Edinburgh took charge and became permanent manager in April 2009.

Edinburgh guided the Diamonds to the Conference play-offs in his first full season in charge but lost out to Oxford in the semi-final.

However, Edinburgh's time at Diamonds came to an abrupt end when the club entered administration. At the time Edinburgh said: "It is a sad day for a lot of good people and good supporters in and around the football club."

He also had to cope with the suicide of goalkeeper Dale Roberts in 2010. "It changed me, in every aspect of life," Edinburgh told the Daily Mail., external

"I still think 'I should have known' or 'Could I have done this or that?' There's a bit of guilt. You think you could have done more."

Justin Edinburgh started his career at Southend United but made his name at Tottenham, playing more than 200 games for the club.

Edinburgh started his managerial career at non-league Billericay Town, and later at other non-league sides Fisher Athletic and Grays Athletic.

He then in 2008 joined Rushden & Diamonds becoming manager in 2009 until the club went into administration in 2011.

He then moved to Newport County guiding them to promotion to League Two, before moving to Gillingham in February 2015, losing his job 10 days ago.

Justin Edinburgh has been named as the now Northampton Town manager on a two-and-half-year deal.

Edinburgh takes over from Rob Page, who was sacked at the beginning of the week following a 5-0 loss at Bristol Rovers, leaving Northampton Town 16th in League Two.

Edinburgh was also sacked at the beginning of the month, by Gillingham, who are one place below the Cobblers in League One in 17th.

Despite his problems at Gillingham, Edinburgh is well regarded after getting Newport County promoted to League Two from the Conference and his work at Rushden and Diamonds.

The 47-year-old will officially take over on Monday, but will watch the game against Scunthorpe tomorrow.

  18. Bedfordshire police praised for work in conviction of Luton man chargedpublished at 16:45 GMT 13 January 2017

    Lee Agnew
    BBC Three Counties Radio

The convictions of Zaiur Rahman, from Luton, and Mohammed Sufiyan Choudry, from Maidenhead, were the result of an intelligence-led operation by Bedfordshire Police and the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command.

Commander Dean Haydon, from the Met Police, says: "these men were closely associated with Al-Muhajiroun, a dangerous group which has inspired and influenced numerous terrorists.

"The men used meetings about Ramadan - a time for self-reflection and change for the better - to instead deliver subversive speeches that encouraged groups, including very young children, to engage in war alongside Daesh," he added.

"Speeches like theirs inspire the terrorists of tomorrow and I am immensely pleased with the excellent work of my officers and Bedfordshire Police. Crucially, both are working with Luton Social Services to safeguard the vulnerable children we've identified were taken to the radical meetings."

A man from Luton has been found guilty, alongside a man from Maidenhead, of arranging meetings in support of the so-called Islamic State.

Zaiur Rahman, 39, helped organise gatherings in a marquee in his back garden and at an Anglican church in Luton.

An undercover policeman infiltrated the Luton section of the banned extremist group, Al-Muhajiroun and recorded speeches made at the meetings.

One speaker talked of 40 trucks driving down Oxford Street full of explosives, while attendees were urged to support I.S. and travel to Syria to fight.

The judge at the retrial at the Old Bailey said they Rahman had corrupted the principles and practices of an ancient and revered religion and told him to expect a jail sentence.

He'll be sentenced at a later date.

Production will start again this year at the Aston Martin site in Newport Pagnall, for the first time in a decade.

They're to start building 25 DB4's which were last manufactured in 1959.

The cars will cost more than £1m each, but if you fancy putting your name down for one, you won't be able to as they've already been pre-sold.

I've been lucky enough to allowed on to the site and see the current restoration and repair team at work.
