How often do you shampoo your hair? Daily or twice a week?

Dr Phil Langton, who is a scientist, shaved off his hair for the BBC's Children in Need appeal 13 years ago.

A planning application to turn a former police training base into a 62-pitch touring caravan site has been refused.

The Caravan Club had wanted to demolish and redevelop the police dog and horse centre on Clanage Road, Bristol, to include amenity buildings and warden accommodation.

But Bristol City Council planners said the development would "detract from the openness of Bristol's Green Belt and fail to preserve or enhance heritage assets, namely the Bower Ashton conservation area and the Ashton Court Estate".

The planners also noted the application "fails to demonstrate that the proposed development will be safe from flooding or that it will not adversely increase flood risk elsewhere".
