The court has heard that in the early hours of 4 December, Roger Cooper, Ms Imam's secret lover, drove to Leicester to visit his brother and that shortly after that visit David Cooper, his brother, made a search on the internet for chloroform.

The prosecution said Roger Cooper had been very careful not to get his hands dirty, and had left his brother to do this search.

Significantly, four days later David Cooper purchased 200ml of chloroform from eBay. Both men deny murder.
