A study is being carried out into Leamington's nightlife as part of a bid to get the town recognised as a quality destination for an evening out.
People who visit Leamington in the evenings are being encouraged to fill in the online survey compiled by Warwick District Council - who are behind the application for 'Purple Flag' status.
Image source, Leamington BIDQuote MessageGetting Purple Flag status provides us with a very important benchmark that allows us to make sure that the town is safe and well-maintained and I think from a business perspective this is really about making sure that everybody has a great experience of the town right from the moment they arrive".
Stephanie Kerr, Leamington BID

Plans to expand Jaguar Land Rover's Whitley facility in Coventry should be rejected in order to protect the greenbelt, according to a parish councillor from Bubbenhall in Warwickshire.
A joint application for a technology park scheme which has been put forward by JLR and the city council is recommended for approval at a city council planning meeting next week.
Image source, Coventry City CouncilQuote MessageWe wouldn't deny JLR's importance as a very successful firm and a very prominent Coventry firm, but it has sites in other parts of Warwickshire and we don't think its presence on what is called Whitley South justifies developing greenbelt".

BBC WM's Richard Wilford at Lord's:
"A sure sign that a game is petering out to a draw is the sight of Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott taking the second new ball at Lord's.
"Middlesex have shown solid resistance throughout the day, losing only three wickets in 61 overs by tea. If only the captains could shake hands now."
Ian Bell has in fact taken 47 first-class wickets. An inspired burst in the final session could take him to perhaps the most unlikely 50 of his career.
