  20. Wind farms 'owned by communities'published at 13:37 BST 15 July 2015

    David Keller

More on the debate about wind farm noise after Daventry MP Chris Heaton-Harris said more needs to be done to stop it. Marion Turner-Hawes from the Green Party believes the energy they provide is essential.

    Wind farms

"We can have renewable energy, or we can keep destroying our planet with fossil fuel-based energy, and we're on a cliff edge with those options," she said.

"I can't say noise is not an issue for some people, but I live in the centre of Wellingborough and I live with the constant noise from traffic - from local roads and the A45. I think wind farms need to be owned by local communities so we can decide where the best place to site wind farms should be."
