  8. 'Spiritual heart of community'published at 17:11 BST 21 October 2014

The minister of Glasgow Cathedral has said the attraction should remain free as "it belongs to all the people".

Historic Scotland, which looks after the medieval building, is considering charges from 1 April next year to help with maintenance.

    Glasgow Cathedral

Reverend Dr Laurence Whitley, speaking on Radio Scotland's Newsdrive, said: "The city looks upon the cathedral as its 'mother kirk'. Indeed, containing the tomb of Saint Mungo, our patron saint, in many ways it is the spiritual heart of the whole community.

"We have always liked to feel it belongs to all the people - that it is theirs, their special possession. The idea that they would suddenly have to be charged £4.50 seems to us very unfortunate."

  10. Johansen - Celtic 'adapting'published at 16:41 BST 21 October 2014

Celtic are improving because the players are adapting to Ronny Deila's system rather than the manager modifying it to suit his squad.

So says midfielder Stefan Johansen, who joined Celtic from Deila's previous side Stromsgodset in January.

"I don't think he has changed much," he said when asked to compare the system at Celtic and their previous club.

"He believes in the way he wants to play, but what we are seeing now is the team starting to adapt to it."
