Float away on an ocean of sound ft. Akira Kosemura
Erland Cooper shares music that ebbs and flows, inviting us to float away like a piece of driftwood on the tide. Plus a safe haven from sound artist Akira Kosemura.
One of Erland Cooper’s favourite things to do with his dog Mirage Morricone is to walk along sandy shores and rugged coastlines, staring out at the horizon but also keeping an eye underfoot, to see what treasures the beach might present: seaglass, mermaid’s purses, shells, and Morricone’s favourite; driftwood. In this episode, Erland invites you to float through music that ebbs and flows, imagining the journey that a piece of driftwood embarks on before being discovered ashore.
And we’ll be transported to the safe haven of Japanese sound artist and composer Akira Kosemura, who shares the song that always brings him solace and creates ripples on the surface of his heart.
