Sebastian Vettel says "it was a shame" his lead of the British Grand Prix came to a sudden end on lap 41.

Vettel's Red Bull suddenly lost pace after his gearbox failed, in his first retirement of the season.

Mercedes' Nico Rosberg took full advantage of Vettel's misforturne to go on and win an incident-packed British Grand Prix.
