Tyrone runner Lagan hopes pandemic won't delay start of US collegiate career

County Tyrone runner Cassie Lagan is scheduled to begin an athletics scholarship in the US in August but her plans could be delayed by the covid-19 pandemic.

Lagan plumped for Augusta University in Georgia after receiving offers from several US colleges.

Augusta University has told the Omagh woman that she may have to initially take part in remote learning if the covid-19 crisis prevents her from travelling to the US as scheduled.
