Lyn Jones says Russia is 'sleeping bear' of world rugby

Coach Lyn Jones says the country is a "sleeping bear" of the global game as Russia prepare a bid for the 2027 World Cup.

The Russian union has made the surprise announcement that it is preparing a bid to challenge favourites Australia.

Japan hosted the 2019 World Cup and galvanised the game in that country and Jones believes the same can be achieved in Russia.
