England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been speaking to 5 live this afternoon and insists he does not reflect on Euro 2020, which should have begun a week today but has been postponed for a year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Not really, because I know I've just got to keep performing for Everton - and everyone knows my performances for England. People can say all they want, but I've got the shirt, and I'll keep the shirt by striving to get better at Everton.

"That's all I can keep doing, keep working hard, and the shirt will be mine, because I know how good I can be, and I know how good I've been for England. Another season is another year of experience, another 38 games in the Premier League, and that will take me over nearly 200 games in the Premier League."

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has sympathy for players uncertain about contracts because of the delay to the season caused by coronavirus.

The Championship is due to restart on 20 June after being halted by the pandemic in March.

The season will go beyond 30 June, when contracts expire, and Charlton's Lyle Taylor and Chris Solly, along with Birmingham loanee David Davis, have all refused to return for the final nine games.

"There’s the risk of their careers and future earnings. They have bills to pay and that’s something people need to bear in mind.

"They have families to look after, they have to look after their careers and it’s understandable as well.

"It’s something more personal because it’s not about getting infected, it’s about getting injured."
